With a BBA from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia and over 10 years of service industry experience before founding Merrily Wed, she brings a fresh insider’s approach to the art of planning that has proven to be invaluable to her clients. Her love for interior design led to additional education and this creative outlet compliments the practical side of
planning. This marriage of talents makes her an extremely qualified and well-rounded
event designer, a skill that her clients have greatly
benefited from and appreciated.
With her creativity and stylish taste, Merrily continues to produce stunning, beautiful and memorable
events. She remains on the leading edge through ongoing education, training seminars, attending conferences, and networking. Her approach to
events stays fresh and innovative, which ensures a unique and positive experience for her clients every time. Merrily accepts a limited number of
events per year to ensure that she gives each one the due attention it deserves.

Horner
Christen Horner is a charming, resourceful and upbeat coordinator who brings an established and successful event management background to Merrily Wed. She earned a
BS in Business Management and a Minor in International Business from Sierra Nevada College. Prior to joining Merrily Wed, Christen’s event experience began by assisting in the upstart of two Tahoe restaurants and enabling their growth by overseeing and developing the private event functions within these businesses.
Christen has been working closely with Merrily since 2005. She connects with her clients in a very personable and close manner. She strives to guarantee their wedding vision is executed to what they dream of and more. This feeling of accomplishment and seeing her clients walk joyfully down the aisle is one of her favorite aspects of her job. She takes great pride in having the opportunity to assist each client on their journey towards one of the most important days of their lives.
